The aim is to locate and dig out as many survivors as possible in the shortest possible time. The group will manage to do this only if they master their equipment quickly and use the available information to agree on a suitable search strategy.
This activity specially promotes contact with nature, team spirit, communication, organization and leadership, as well as strategy development and consensus building – particularly as the participants are working under time pressure and have to make a physical effort.
